The e-LAB workshop will be held by Barbara Poček, she has been involved with Ljubljana’s Glej Theatre since 2010, contributing to its artistic and strategic development in various roles. Since September 2024, she has served as Managing Director, while also sitting on Glej’s Artistic Council and coordinating the TRIGGER internationalisation platform. Her work extends beyond Glej into international networks and cultural policy. She currently sits on the boards of Asociacija, the Slovenian umbrella organisation for cultural NGOs and freelancers, and EAIPA (European Association of Independent Performing Arts). From 2017 to 2021, she was a board member of IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts), where she helped shape international discourse on performance. Between 2022 and 2023, she coordinated IETM’s “Local Journeys for Change” and developed the inaugural edition of Green
School. Barbara also pursues interdisciplinary and creative projects. She co-founded the Biennial of Independents (2007–2015), focused on contemporary illustration, and the Design Biotop platform (2013–2019), which explored design as a tool for addressing societal challenges. She was part of the award-winning Čipke initiative, uniting women working at the intersection of technology, science, and art. Within it, she co-created as a member of the female DIY music collective Kikimore, and since 2020 has performed with the experimental sound quartet Sujevera.
Across all her work, Barbara is committed to fostering collaboration, creativity, and
exchange—bridging disciplines and communities in the performing arts, design, and beyond.
